Emergency & Critical Care Is More Expensive Than Primary Care
It’s important to us that our clients understand that the costs of emergency care, critical care, and specialty medicine are more expensive than routine visits to your primary care veterinarian, just as a visit to the emergency room or medical specialist for yourself is more expensive than a scheduled appointment with your regular doctor.
Why Emergency & Critical Care Costs More
In a life-threatening situation, we must have in-house diagnostic equipment to provide us with quick results. This includes laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and CT scanning equipment. In addition, 24-hour access to our emergency services requires us to be staffed nights, weekends, and holidays when no one else is open, and whether we have patients coming in or not.
We Provide Upfront Estimates on All Our Services
We know that your pet is an important part of your family and understand that the costs associated with care can affect how you choose to proceed concerning treatment. At Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center, we will discuss all of our costs with you before we initiate any diagnostics, procedures, or treatments on your pet, so you are not caught off guard when you receive your bill for services. At Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center, you control your pet’s treatment; we promise to provide the level of health care that each owner has chosen and will never pressure you to make decisions.
Forms of Payment We Accept
We do not accept insurance. Payment is required when services are rendered, which may include a pre-payment on estimated costs should your pet require hospitalization. Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center accepts cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Care Credit, and AllPet.
