MEET
THE RRAEH ONCOLOGY TEAM
Dr. Amber Wolf-Ringwall is a board-certified veterinary oncologist. She grew up on a farm near Dickinson and attended Colorado State University where she received her BS and PhD in Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Wolf developed a passion for veterinary oncology and cancer research when her two young dogs developed lymphoma, which led her to pursue veterinary training. She received her DVM from Colorado State University in 2014, completed her rotating internship at North Carolina State University, and 3-year medical oncology residency at the Flint Animal Cancer Center at Colorado State University. Dr. Wolf most recently served as faculty and section head of the clinical oncology service at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Wolf has a special interest in hematologic cancers such as lymphoma and leukemia, palliative cancer care, and comparative oncology. She is excited to return to North Dakota and join the RRAEH team to provide compassionate cancer care to companion animals in her home state and surrounding area. Dr. Wolf enjoys spending time with her husband, their Vizsla Violet, hiking, traveling, cheering on the Denver Broncos, and spending time with family and friends in North Dakota and Minnesota.
ONCOLOGY VETERINARY TECHNICIANS
Kirsten grew up in Wadena, MN and currently resides in Perham, MN with her husband, Andrew. She joined the RRAEH team in 2023 as an Oncology Technician! She graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN with an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology. Her favorite things about veterinary medicine are seeing all of the new advancements in medicine, and learning and applying new skills to her job every day!
In her free time, she enjoys working out, hiking, kayaking and spending time with family and friends! Her pets include her 2 dogs; Murphy (her beloved rescue and the bestest boy) and Sunny (her Golden Retriever), along with her 3 cats; Luna, Jade, and Kallie!
Amanda started her veterinary career in 2013 as a Kennel Assistant and then proceeded to a Veterinary Assistant while pursuing her higher education goals. She graduated from The University of Mary Washington in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and, at that time, developed her love of the more technical aspects of veterinary medicine, specifically anesthesia and hands-on skills, such as venipuncture and catheter placement. Upon completion of the Veterinary Technology program through Northern Virginia Community College, she officially became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2018. After working 8 years in general practice, Amanda decided to take the plunge into specialty veterinary medicine with The Oncology Service in Springfield, Virginia. She fell in love with Oncology and the impactful relationships she was able to form with both pets and their owners. Amanda moved to the Fargo area in April 2024 and joined our Oncology team soon after her arrival!
