Niko, a sweet and loyal dog who is the heart of his family, faced a serious medical emergency when he was bitten by another dog, causing a severe eye injury. His family shared, “He’s my baby, he’s like one of my kids,” and in that moment of uncertainty, they knew they had to do everything they could to save him. However, the cost of the surgery to remove the damaged eye was far beyond what they could afford.
With the help of Pawsitive Care Fund, Niko’s was able to receive the surgery he needed with the help of a $2,000 grant. Our compassionate team worked tirelessly to ensure that Niko had the best care possible, and after the procedure, Niko began the slow but steady process of healing.
Today, Niko is back at home with his family, recovering comfortably and living a full, happy life. He may have lost an eye, but he gained a second chance at life, surrounded by the love and care of those who cherish him most!
