Cali is a gentle, joy-filled pup who brightens her family’s days, especially after long, stressful ones. But when she was bitten by another dog, everything changed in an instant. The bite caused severe trauma to her eye, leaving her in pain and requiring an emergency enucleation (eye removal surgery) to protect her comfort and overall quality of life.
Her family had recently navigated another unexpected pet emergency and wasn’t prepared to face another crisis so soon. They were heartbroken and worried about how they would get Cali the care she desperately needed.
Thanks to the Pawsitive Care Fund, Cali received the urgent surgery, pain management, and supportive care necessary to give her the best chance at healing. Our team removed the damaged eye, ensured she was comfortable, and provided her family with clear guidance for her recovery.
Today, Cali is safely back home, adjusting well, and surrounded by the love that has always defined her life. She may have lost an eye, but she hasn’t lost her spirit or the endless joy she brings to her family.
