Fozzie, a beloved companion, faced a life-threatening emergency when he developed gastric dilatation and volvulus (GDV), a condition that required immediate surgery to save his life. His family shared, “My wife and I got him right after we got married – he’s one of our closest companions. To my 2-year-old, Fozzie is just a furry brother always around to play with.”
In the midst of relocating closer to family, Fozzie’s family was facing financial strain and didn’t have the resources for such a sudden and expensive procedure. That’s when the Pawsitive Care Fund was able to offer a grant to cover a portion of Fozzie’s life-saving surgery.
Fozzie’s surgery was successful, and after a careful recovery, he was back to his happy, playful self. His family is beyond grateful for the care he received and for the community of donors who made his recovery possible.
Because of the Pawsitive Care Fund and it’s donors, Fozzie was given the chance to live a long, healthy life with the family who loves him dearly.
