Theo’s family knew something was wrong when their playful young cat suddenly stopped eating, became lethargic, and began drooling excessively. What initially appeared to be a simple stomach upset quickly turned into a much more serious situation as Theo’s condition failed to improve and his appetite disappeared entirely.
After advanced diagnostics and an abdominal ultrasound, our team discovered that Theo was suffering from an intestinal blockage caused by a foreign object lodged in his small intestine. Emergency surgery was needed to remove the obstruction before it could cause life-threatening complications.
Faced with the unexpected cost of surgery and hospitalization, Theo’s family was understandably worried. They wanted to do everything possible to help their beloved cat, but the financial burden of emergency treatment was overwhelming.
Thanks to the Pawsitive Care Fund, Theo’s family received assistance that helped make his lifesaving care possible. During surgery, our team successfully removed the foreign object and repaired the affected section of intestine. After several days of hospitalization, pain management, and supportive care, Theo began eating again and showed encouraging signs of recovery.
Today, Theo is back home with his family, feeling better and returning to the curious, affectionate cat they know and love. What began as a frightening emergency became a story of resilience, recovery, and hope.
Because of the Pawsitive Care Fund and its generous donors, Theo received the urgent treatment he needed and was given the opportunity to continue living a happy, healthy life with the family who loves him dearly.
