Maple’s playful puppy curiosity led to a life-threatening emergency when he swallowed a tube sock that became lodged in his gastrointestinal tract. At just 10 months old, the energetic Standard Poodle mix suddenly became lethargic, stopped eating, and began vomiting repeatedly, leaving his family worried that something was seriously wrong.

After advanced imaging confirmed a foreign body obstruction, Maple urgently needed surgery to remove the sock before it caused devastating complications. His family was faced with the difficult reality that the cost of emergency surgery was more than they could manage on their own.

That’s when the Pawsitive Care Fund stepped in. Thanks to the generosity of donors, Maple’s family received assistance that helped make his lifesaving surgery possible. Our surgical team successfully removed the tube sock and provided the care, monitoring, and recovery support Maple needed to heal.

Today, Maple is back home with his family, recovering comfortably and returning to the happy, playful puppy they know and love. What began as a frightening emergency became a story of hope, healing, and a second chance.

Because of the Pawsitive Care Fund and its generous donors, Maple received the urgent care he needed and can continue creating joyful memories with the family who adores him.
